Health Insurance Complaint Registry

Have you ever had a problem with an insurance company?  Instead of complaining to other NJPA members on the listserv or muttering under your breath, we are pleased to introduce a new, more effective way to register your concerns.

The New Jersey Psychological Association is posting a HEALTH INSURANCE COMPLAINT REGISTRY to capture complaint information from psychologists or their patients.  Information will be gathered by company and type of  problem(s) encountered so that we can, where possible, either help directly or at least summarize the information to present in our various advocacy meetings and presentations around the state.  The one-page form takes only a minute or so to complete and will give NJPA a centralized electronic database of the kinds of problems encountered.

The form will have a permanent link on the NJPA website under Members Only and the Consumer section.  You may wish to print out a copy to make available to patients suffering from the abuses of managed care.  We will look into other ways to publicize this new service.  If you have ideas about how to improve publicizing this registry, please let us know!
