The Center for Complicated Grief is located at Columbia School of Social Work in New York City. Growing out of the oldest and largest complicated grief treatment research program in the world, the Center works to promote education and research that can help people with complicated grief reclaim their lives. Under the leadership of Dr. Katherine Shear, the Center is dedicated to training professionals in how to do complicated grief therapy (CGT).
