Take an in-depth look at the science behind addiction. The anatomy of addiction will be deconstructed, and we will look at the medical and therapeutic interface that converges in the art form of treatment, recovery, and sustainable recovery.

Learning Objectives:  Attendees will be able to and be able to identify the following:
1. Discuss the addiction cycle.
2. Describe factors that increase the risk for Substance Use, Misuse and Addiction.
3. Describe the usage of multiple substances and co-occurring mental health conditions.
4. Discuss comprehensive treatment interventions inclusive of psychopharmacological options, Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), psychological treatment, various levels of care, family therapy and relapse.
5. Describe the Recovery process and trajectory.

This is an Intermediate level program for Psychologists, Social Workers, Educators, Mental Health Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Graduate Students
