Membership Dues Categories and Member Types

NJPA does not support or endorse any non-licensed individual holding him/herself as a licensed psychologist. NJPA defers to the New Jersey Board of Psychological Examiners on matters related to licensure and regulation of psychologists in New Jersey.

Annual membership is for a calendar year January 1 through December 31.  If you are unsure as to which category you fall under, please call us at 973-243-9800.

Member: Possess a doctoral degree in psychology, or a field allied to psychology, conferred by a graduate school of recognized standing.
Member (8) Dues Categories
Licensed 5+ years in NJ:  $355.00  
Licensed 2-5 years in NJ: $325.00  
Licensed under 2 years in NJ: $265.00
Non-Licensed Doctoral in NJ: $235.00 (NJ resident doctoral level education not pursuing licensure or NJ resident doctoral level education without a NJ license, but holds a license in another state. Also temporary permit holder longer than 3yrs - such as those working part-time at the postdoctoral level or involved in the EPPP testing process)
Non-Resident Doctoral: $120 (Living outside NJ and not licensed in NJ. Includes those who hold a license outside NJ)  
1st Year Post-Doctoral:  $120.00
2nd Year Post-Doctoral:  $150.00
3rd Year Post-Doctoral:  $190.00

Associate Member:  Possession of a master’s degree in psychology, or a field allied to psychology, and conferred by a graduate school of recognized standing. (They may serve as members of committees of the association but may not vote, hold office, or chair a committee or other NJPA group.)
Associate Member Dues Amount:  $190.00

Student Member:
  The standards for Graduate Student Member shall be current enrollment in a graduate program in psychology or a field allied to psychology. The standard for Undergraduate Student Member shall be current enrollment in an undergraduate program in psychology or a field allied to psychology.   Graduate Student members shall enjoy all the rights and privileges of membership in the Association and may serve as members of committees of the Association but may not vote, hold office, or chair an NJPA committee or other NJPA group, except for the New Jersey Psychological Association of Graduate Students (NJPAGS). Only Graduate Student Members are considered members of NJPAGS. Undergraduate Students may not vote, hold office, be a member of an NJPA committee or other NJPA group, or chair a committee or other NJPA group.  Student Member Dues Amount: $30.00
