Middlesex County Association of Psychologists

Introduction

Who Are We?

MCAP is the abbreviation for the Middlesex County (NJ) Association of Psychologists. We are an affiliate of the New Jersey Psychological Association which, in turn, is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association.

Please direct MCAP inquiries to:

President, Middlesex County Association of Psychologists; and Director, Center for Cognitive Behavior Therapy

MCAP is a dynamic organization with members who have contributed significantly at all levels of leadership and scholarship throughout the state. We have joined together to provide both a source of accurate information for the public on psychological issues and to establish a network of psychologists in Middlesex County for our own professional development.

Members have the opportunity to interact with other professionals by serving on committees and in positions of leadership, by participating in our listserv, through directory listings, forums, and blogs on our interactive website, and by attending or participating in sponsored events, which include an annual series of luncheons/speakers, an annual brunch/speaker panel, social events, and bimonthly board meetings.

MCAP’s Mission:

Our mission rests on three pillars:

▪       MCAP is dedicated to advancing psychology as a science, as a profession, and as a means of promoting health and human welfare

▪       MCAP is dedicated to promoting collaborative relationships among and between psychologists and other professional groups

▪       MCAP is sensitive to the diverse needs and populations of both our members and the residents of Middlesex County
